The Pine Inn is the first hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea to offer electric vehicle (EV) charging to guests. The two charging ports are a free service provided to guests who can reserve charging time through the hotel.

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa are partnering to install two electric vehicle charging stations capable of charging four cars at a time at the Bastrop County resort hotel. This is the first partnership between Bluebonnet and one of its members to provide public charging stations for electric vehicles. The co-op’s service area includes major highways between Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
