Setting Up ChargePoint Notifications

ChargePoint offers many helpful and smart features to make charging your electric vehicle (EV) a breeze, including convenient notifications. Instead of waiting around to see if a station is available or wondering about your charging status, you can just get helpful updates on your phone for these and many more events.

Tip
When you get notified that your car is fully charged, try to move your car as soon as you can so others can charge.
1

Get the ChargePoint app, available for iPhone and Android, and sign up or log in.

2

If you’re signing up for the first time, customize your notification preferences during account set up.

3

If you already have an account but haven’t set up notifications yet, open the menu in the top left corner.

4

Select “Account,” then “Notifications.”

5

Set preferences for “Public Charging” and your “Home Charger” (if you have ChargePoint Home) so we can tell you when you’re fully charged or charging is interrupted, plus send a receipt when you’re done charging (public charging only).

6

In “Notify Me By,” choose how you want to get notifications: a push notification in the app, email or text message. If you prefer email or text notifications, make sure you add your email and/or phone number.
