Coulomb Technologies today announced that leading multi-family real estate investment trust UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR) has purchased six ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for its 464-unit apartment community located at 2500 Bennett Street in Dallas, Texas. The Belmont project is being constructed to energy efficient Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines and will apply for certification through the U.S. Green Building Council. The addition of charging stations to the property is helping the Belmont qualify for LEED certification. It is the first among a number of new UDR apartment communities using LEED standards that will feature EV charging. A second community, the Savoye, located at the Vitruvian Park development in Addison, Texas is scheduled to open in March, 2010. The Belmont is the first installation of networked charging stations for an apartment housing development in the United States.

Coulomb Technologies, the leader in electric vehicle charging station infrastructure, in cooperation with SAP AG, will demonstrate the features and capabilities of its ChargePoint® Network application services for utilities and drivers of electric vehicles at the CeBIT 2010 show opening today in Hannover, Germany. Coulomb Technologies is participating in one of SAP’s seven 'Experience SAP' exhibits. In the life area entitled 'Move,' CeBIT visitors will see a demonstration of the following scenarios:

Coulomb Technologies, the leader in electric vehicle charging station infrastructure, today announced that the ChargePoint® iPhone App now available in the iTunes App Store. The ChargePoint iPhone App gives electric vehicle owners the ability to not only easily locate ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles anywhere in North America, but see in real time if a charging station is currently available, in use, or out of service. Using the iPhone or iPod Touch, drivers can use the app to start and stop charging sessions, be notified when their vehicle is fully charged, and get directions to stations.

Coulomb Technologies today announced the first installation of their ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for EV in Honolulu, HI. Green Energy Outlet, an eco-friendly supplier of contracting materials has installed the solar-powered charging station located at 575 Cooke Street in Kailua, Honolulu, within walking distance from the Ward Center. This installation marks the second alternative-powered charging station in Hawaii, with the first, a wind-turbine station located on Maui at Maui Electric Company used for charging MECO owned EV. Coulomb's Maui-based distributor WindChargeUSA installed and will maintain the charging station, which is free to the public.

Marking a significant change in the way drivers pay to fuel electric vehicles, and how charging station owners are paid for providing that service, Coulomb Technologies today announced the Flex Billing™ system. Beginning in July, users of ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations will no longer need a subscription to the ChargePoint® Network. As a more flexible alternative, owners of the charging stations (Hosts), including utilities, retailers, municipalities and corporations will determine the price that drivers pay to use their stations, if any. The Flex Billing system provides the tools for Hosts to set pricing at individual charging stations while Coulomb provides turnkey services to collect, process and forward payments from drivers directly to Hosts. Additionally, Coulomb is introducing its new ChargePass™ smart cards that gives EV owners the ability to fuel up at any ChargePoint Networked Charging Station and receive payment discounts and other benefits.

Coulomb Technologies today announced that the Galveston Historical Foundation has installed the first of twelve publicly accessible ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles (EV). The official unveiling of the stations will take place at the Historical Foundation's headquarters in the 1861 Custom House located at 502 20th Street in the Historic Downtown District Galveston, Texas on Friday, February 6, 2010 at 10:00 am central. The 1861 Custom House ChargePoint charging station installation is the first of more than a dozen planned installations by Positive Energy Resources, a Texas Renewable & Sustainable Resource Systems Integration company based in Houston Galveston Island over the next few months. The charging stations were sold through Verdek-EV, Coulomb's exclusive southwest distributor.

365 Energy and the cities of Amsterdam and Bochum have started operations of a novel, cross-country billing and roaming system. The platform allows for electric vehicles (EVs) to be charged in various European cities by using a single customer ID card issued by the municipalities. Due to the networked billing and roaming, EV users will not only be able to access ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations in Europe with the same ID, they will also receive an integrated invoice at the end of each billing period. There will be no extra charge for roaming, since these cities open their ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations for each other. In the near future, this will enable EV drivers to buy the electricity from their preferred provider.
